Microphone Holder
So, the other day I bought a microphone stand for use with Rock Band, and discovered upon my return that is had no actual microphone holder, so I haphazardly pieced one together from a screw, some scrap tube steel, and some washers. Add a bit of spraypaint, and it worked out pretty well.

RE: Microphone Holder
I have a Sony EX1 and the Microphone holder has broken off.
Just wondering if anyone has had to replace this before? Since I am reluctant to send it to Sony since they charge a fortune for pick-up and repairs. The XLR mic connections work fine I just need a new Microphone holder. (Simple plastic brace). I can see it is only attached with 2 small screws so it shouldn't be rocket science to replac The harder you fall, the higher you bounce. |

RE: Microphone Holder
It's actually attached with a single screw. I drilled out the solid threaded piece and used a piece of scrap tube steel we cut at a 45 degree angle. The threaded piece came with the stand, but isn't actually doing anything to hold the microphone in place. It was more or less a 'use whatever random objects are lying around' kind of project. Works well enough, though.
