RE: DIY PCB
And of coarse, the photo-positive method. Which IMO is a much better choice.
NOTE: They are not using SPLASH PROOF SAFETY GOGGLES or CHEMICAL RESISTANT GLOVES in some of this video. NEVER EVER EVER do this (or any type of etching or chemical work) without the proper safety gear!!! Also, several videos around the internet show people mixing acids and waters (crystals, etc and water). ALWAYS remember to pour the ACID INTO THE WATER. NOT WATER INTO THE ACID. RE: DIY PCB
Quick update:
We have an exposure box set up and a couple boards in stock. They are 10cm x 15cm in both single and double sided pre-sensitized. The boards are from Circuit Specialists, we will sell them at $5/ea for the single sided and $7/ea for the double sided. You are welcome to bring your own materials. We have drill bits you are welcome to use. They are $1 to replace if you break one. If you would like to use the exposure box during public night that is fine however you will need to bring you own safety equipment and chemicals (Chemical Goggles, Nitrile Gloves, Etchant, etc). We do have some developer you can use if you would like. We also have a couple etching containers, misc small supplies, and a laser printer (with transparencies) set up that you are welcome to use. If you have any questions you can post them here or PM me. OOoooOo ...sparks! |
