Hey my name is shaun gilchrist and I am a software developer living in salt lake city utah. I am obsessed with old computer languages and hardware. I have been playing with the arduino for a year or so and have thus far managed to build a drum trigger with it (bass drum and snare drum) - but I would like to expand my knowledge of reading analog signals so that I can create a guitar pedal which can store the signal onto a usb stick. My other pet project is an interface for my rowing machine so that I can have it record my sessions on a usb stick (and eventually hook it up to a monitor so I can race against my last best time in a visual manner).

Anyway I am really excited that this exists in utah!

Quote:The Mux (Multiplexer) Shield adds the capacity for up to 48 inputs or outputs on the Arduino and Arduino Mega.

If you need a lot of inputs and/or outputs, this is your solution! Using three Texas Instruments CD74HC4067 Analog Multiplexers, the Mux Shield makes it possible to have 48 analog/digital inputs or digital outputs in many combinations.

The Mux Shield is available with or without headers for the multiplexer pins, depending on whether you need it for prototyping or for an installation. Both options come with stackable headers. The stackable headers come un-soldered to prevent being bent during shipping.

Features:

* 48 analog inputs/digital inputs/digital outputs (in combination)
* Vcc and Ground header strips (each input/output pin has a dedicated Vcc and Ground)
* Reset button
* PIN 13 LED and Power LED
* Stackable headers (plug directly into Arduino and add more shields on top)
* Arduino Mega compatible
* Requires digital pins 2,3,4,5 and analog pins 0,1,2 – 48 inputs/outputs for the price of 7 pins!

I'm almost done with the brain of my chicken coop door opener. All I need is my H-bridge and to build the pulley system. I'll attach photos of what I have now.

The idea is a light sensor on the roof reaches a certain measurement, checks again in 6 minutes, then lowers the draw-bridge style door. Waits 12 hours and pulls the door back up.

What I have used:

BBB Freeduino
TI SN754410
12v motor from a car window
photoresistor
caps, resistors, etc
